Limited Availability

Due to recent challenges and an overall feeling of malaise with my pregnancy, I have decided to cut back on work much sooner than originally expected. This is not an official leave of absence, but rather, a general announcement that my availability may be limited and/or sporadic over the next 4-6 weeks.

I will still make every effort to be readily available for emergency support, but please understand that I may not be as prompt with general updates or new project inquiries if I am having a particularly taxing week (which is currently the case).

Furthermore, if I’ve seemed (or continue to seem) less “friendly” or communicative than usual, it almost certainly has nothing to do with you and is simply a result of feeling incredibly hormonal and uncomfortable in this last stretch of the pregnancy. Sadly, I don’t appear to be one of those women who carries to term with unfaltering charm and grace.

As a heads up, my official ‘maternity leave’ will begin the first or second week in April (the last two weeks of my pregnancy), during which I will be completely unavailable (with exception to hosting emergencies). I am still not certain when I’ll return back to work, but I suspect that I’ll start going a little bit mad if I take more than 3-4 weeks off.

In the meantime, I apologize for any inconvenience my current unavailability may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Take VIP care of yourself and one of the many good things about pregnancy is you anticipate the arrival of your little one!
